Of course not, it's rather refreshing...
But name me one character in that picture that most male 13-40 yr olds are going to look at on a game box and feel that they have to get that game?
None.
The Wii, as the rest of Nintendo attests, at the moment, is a kiddies and their parents box.
Now, this doesn't mean that there aren't a few developers bringing supposed "hardcore" games to it. I am genuinely interested in seeing how The Conduit, Madworld and S&P2 go. But I get the feeling, it won't be as good sales figures as some would hope.
Devs now turning to the Wii for development are only doing so because of the install base - but they are taking a risk trying to make the same games as the PS360 for an audience whose main demographic these games don't appeal to.
