Let's give Gabel 4 years and tens of millions of pounds to take on Killzone 2 if we are to be fair.

why will people want to play L4D, when Killzone 2 is upon us.

Killzone 2 took over 4 yrs to develop, had a $50+ Million Dollar development cycle while also having a game engine designed specifically for Killzone 2.....also Killzone 2 was developed EXCLUSIVELY on PS3, while Valve games are usually PC only or multi-plat.

It does seem like a shot at sony but now a days when developers are losing money left and right, you would want a easier to develop for console to save as much money as you can. This topic has been made in this forum a few times, games are just costing a lot of money to make and they need to sell lots of games to get that money back and get a profit.

Exactly, all the best sold 360 3rd party games have seen PS3 releases and the minor differences regarding such ports or 360 lead projects some rabbit 360 fans want to rave on about are actually minor, it's not like the PS3 ports are of Wii quality or even close to that.

There are just so many PS3 exclusives that have truly started to show off the PS3 hardware, Super Stardust HD, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Resistance 2, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2 to name a few eye catching ones and the line-up with God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2, etc is very solid.

There's nothing really disastrous regarding the PS3 on no level whatsoever, only lots of oppertunities to push even further. Gabe should have kept his mouth, it's clear where Gabe's or Carmack's take originate from.
