What? Below DS price would be 149-159 euros? I dunno how much a DS costs where you're from, but as far as I know the official pricepoint for DS Lite is 149 euros..

@Cheebee: MSRP for DS is 159€ here (269€ Wii), which means in practice that you find it for 159-169€.

@ bdbdbd: that's insane. I knew we were getting screwed over in Europe, but sounds like it's even worse in Finland then. All those US'ers should stop their whining about expensive hard- and software.

OK, let's look at software sales for a 12 month period then. April 2007 - March 2008:

As you can see it doesn't change the picture much. PS3 sold more software than the PSP even though its userbase was much smaller during this period. Heck the PS3 had barely finished launching in April 07.

No matter what way we look at it, PSP's software sales are awful.

PSP was just the entry handheld. The next one will probably see an increase in backing.

But ya, with DS so popular, Sony is smart not to invest in PSP.
