I would buy it if its worth it. If their only reason to remake it is just to add voices/FMVs to it with a few added graphical menu additions and areas...then no. I'm getting tired of Square wanting to 'beautify' their old games to gratify some sense of self-accomplishment and then sell it to us again.

Unlike the other side of their company who is remaking their games with the clear intention of improving the gameplay and adding to the game. As the Dragon Quest IV and V remakes have had hours added to their games, as well as nearly doubling the amount of in game text (party chat) and balancing gameplay/exploration.

Final Fantasy IV DS had a completely rewritten and expanded script, as well as a ton of optional material, and gameplay mechanics that completely changed the way one progressed through the game. They made it a harder, more cerebral, generally better game.

Not that an argument couldn't be made in defense of remakes and re-releases anyway, but the point stands that their track record here is very good.

I hope it isn't fake. I would much rather prefer FF VI then FF V.

It's probably fake, but I hope they remake all of them (V and VI) in the same way they did III and IV.
It amazes me how little love V gets. It was a damn fine game. I prefer the job system from V than the Esper system from VI.

I'd buy it although what made the Opera scene cool was that it didn't have voice. The work around they came up with was excellent.

I've been spreading similar rumors since before the FF4 remake came out. I'd be highly surprised if it wasn't at least announced by 2010.
