Unlike the other side of their company who is remaking their games with the clear intention of improving the gameplay and adding to the game. As the Dragon Quest IV and V remakes have had hours added to their games, as well as nearly doubling the amount of in game text (party chat) and balancing gameplay/exploration.

Final Fantasy IV DS had a completely rewritten and expanded script, as well as a ton of optional material, and gameplay mechanics that completely changed the way one progressed through the game. They made it a harder, more cerebral, generally better game.

Not that an argument couldn't be made in defense of remakes and re-releases anyway, but the point stands that their track record here is very good.
