Neoratt I understand the pressure, thats why I think you should handpick a select amount of users.

Keeping track of 50 active users is better than 120+ users that don't post here or make life a bit harder for you.

If you ever fully decided to give up let me know and I will try to take over ( I can spare the time, i would just need to know how to actually do all the charts ect)

What I want to know is why did you delete all of your posts in this thread, NeoRatt? Or did simply deleting the 1st post erase the rest? And what did you write in your post at 18:49 yesterday?

I was cleaning my part of the thread out.  I have done that in some threads in the past where I have posted often.

My post late in the day was "Goodbye and Good Luck...  NeoRatt  Logging Off...".

When I investigated over the past few days, it turns out 40% of all achievements in the past month have been offline...  Again, although I respect that people do not have T1 connections to their house, like I do (In fact I would assume nobody here does, I was under the impression that people mostly were connected and online).

Sorry, I feel there was no pressure.  I do like the idea of reducing the size though...

I simply want this to be a league with integrity.  When I say integrity, I want people know that the people winning points and collecting awards did it.  Not that they "may have" gamesaved doing it.

I will see how much interest there is in continuing under new rules and a new start. I have posted rules in the base thread and if you want to participate you will have to add VGChartz2009 as a friend and PM me...

If there is enough interest by next Tuesday I will do an update Wednesday... Reseting points and continuing current tournaments that were active... Halo Wars, SO4, and Peggle... I will not apply the 80% rule retroactive on these tournaments only as they were in progress.

Wow, 40% offline! I would've guessed no more than 25%.

Out of curiosity I went through my games list on xbox.com and calculated that 94% of my achievements have been unlocked online. Only 61 out of 978 offline and 51 of those are from just 3 games. 29 for Dead Space, 16 for Prince of Persia and 6 for Infinite Undiscovery. A bit surprised by the amount in Dead Space, but then I remember I had internet problem for 3 days that week. Thankfully I unlocked "Epic Tier 3 Engineer" online.

NeoRatt, I think you'll see at least 40 or 50 people have no problems with the new rules and will be happy to join. I definitely want the league to continue and in the future will stop playing when I disconnect or can't get online.

Yeaaaah ive started this now
got 510 from Res5 so far and 125 from fifa this week

I don't know what all this stuff about making less people and offline achievements is about. It seems like everybody missed the point of what my problem was before and in doing so are now making changes that will ruin the league. The league is fine the way it is and was fine the way eagleseye was running it.

The league should always be growing, if it's not adding more people each month then it's not successful in it's goal. The more people there are the more competition there is. You know how boring it would be with 50 people? I don't know what seece's determination with having less people is, but I don't think he was in the league last year, it's fine now and the more people there are the better.

There's nothing suspect about offline achievements. There's such a difference between gamesave cheating and just getting offline achievements. All you should worry about is if achievements are acquired in impossible orders. I've gotten a lot of achievements offline and even currently I've been having internet problems for the last week where I get disconnected 5 or 6 times a day for sometimes long periods. The day I'm "disqualified" from some race for not getting achievements while online is the day I leave anyways.

Eagleseye set up everything and it's perfectly fine. All you have to do is keep running it the way it was and adding people. I will never agree to stop playing a game because I'm offline or to get 80% of achievements online and there's no reason the league should be suspended for any reason. Just update it in the quickest way you can like you did before, you don't need to monitor every achievement.

Personally the only issue I've seen brought up that even deserves mentioning is not logging for a few weeks then logging in with a bunch of new points at once. Like eagleseye said, he used to have people pm him if they were going to do that. Or better yet just don't let them qualify for the weekly points.

Erikers, NeoRatt said there are ways people can gamesave to unlock achievements offline and in order. Not sure how, but my guess is to gamesave 1 achievement at a time. That seems like a lot of hassle to me and a huge waste of time for an online league with no financial reward.

I was thinking with fewer people, how will that affect the platinum games? Obviously some games that now have at least 15 users, the cutoff to qualify, won't with a smaller league. One of the great things about a league with more people is the larger leaderboards.

Who cares if people are going to try and cheat offline and try hard not to get caught?  Just let them then if they are going to try that hard.  If you see something weird you point it out, if not don't worry about it so much.  You're all getting paranoid about something you don't even know is happening and you're going to end up taking all the fun out of the league.
