They're both platformers but they have quite a bit of differences. Sly is more of a sneaking game. Not as many enemies as Ratchet.

never played any of them. but most of the people i know, who have played them, have spoken well of the series. including some who were rather upset the studio was working on infamous rather than sly.

Still, Sony is gonna publish it and owns the IP. So it's as first party as Ratchet is...
