Don't resist the power of Tobey Maguire's mullet

No way! I did't know that was Tobey Maguire. Ohh, I see it now.

 Damn! What a Mullet!

I thought that Nintendo put their "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality" on all the games on their system. But shouldn't Nintendo look at the game to see if it is a quality game.

funny how many of you don't know what the "official Nintendo seal of quality" even is.

but otherwise what games does 2k even make now adays. All i knew of was their sports games and reading this sounds like carnival games (which made them a shit ton of money)

and more and more articles that keep showing how broken the review system is. Not saying that those over 85% games aren't good but as posted in how wiifit and mario kart wii were being beaten in rating by those shitty games is just sad. I don't really pay attention to ratings so don't know how many other games are badly rated or not

Nintendo introduced the Seal of Quality to show gamers the games had met quality control standards in terms of basic programming and would be free of objectionable content.

Third-parties don't like censorship. Sony was wise enough to abandon enforced quality standards (such as Nintendo's cieling on how many games a year you could publish) and I don't think that genie's going back in the bottle anytime soon. I really don't think it should go back, either.

As to the topic, Grampy said most of what I want to. The only thing I'll add is that Wii Sports, the most popular game with the masses in decades, has a Metacritic score of 76...

"There are too many crappy games on the Wii."

It's true. :\

I even own a Wii. Only games I have for it are:
Brawl
Wii Play
Guitar Hero 3
Super Mario Galaxy
MLB 2k8
Zelda
Metroid

Borrowed Mario Kart, didn't really interest me.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 > Modern Warfare 2

Next villain for Spiderman 4 confirmed. "The Power Glove". He's so bad.

1. When people come to accept that shovelware exists (which it has for many, many years) then they will see that it's not a "problem." Until I start seeing screaming and crying pointed at every piece of shovelware to ever flood the PS1 and 2 libraries, I'm not going to take this whining seriously.

2. Nintendo trying to block 3rd parties from releasing Wii games is very, very stupid. First, Nintendo is denying money because they get royalties. Second, pushing 3rd parties around didn't work on the N64 and it's not going to work now. Third, "quality" in this case is subjective, the angry fanboys that are livid at Carnival Games and the likes are FAR outnumbered by the amount of people that actually bought and enjoyed the game. Since so many people adopt Metacritic scores as their own religion, here's a dilemma for you: Since most of the bitching about Wii software stems from arbitrary Metacritic scores, what critieria is Nintendo going to use to suddenly up and deny certain games? If they never get released, they can never be scored.

3. Blocking shovelware on the Wii isn't going to eliminate it, it's just going to direct the flood somewhere else.
