1. When people come to accept that shovelware exists (which it has for many, many years) then they will see that it's not a "problem." Until I start seeing screaming and crying pointed at every piece of shovelware to ever flood the PS1 and 2 libraries, I'm not going to take this whining seriously.
2. Nintendo trying to block 3rd parties from releasing Wii games is very, very stupid. First, Nintendo is denying money because they get royalties. Second, pushing 3rd parties around didn't work on the N64 and it's not going to work now. Third, "quality" in this case is subjective, the angry fanboys that are livid at Carnival Games and the likes are FAR outnumbered by the amount of people that actually bought and enjoyed the game. Since so many people adopt Metacritic scores as their own religion, here's a dilemma for you: Since most of the bitching about Wii software stems from arbitrary Metacritic scores, what critieria is Nintendo going to use to suddenly up and deny certain games? If they never get released, they can never be scored.
3. Blocking shovelware on the Wii isn't going to eliminate it, it's just going to direct the flood somewhere else.
