Oh bother! 3k under... Well I kinda knew it was stupid about 5 minutes after I posted it. Now all thats left is to wait for any adjustments and kinda hope that the 360 is systematically undertracked by a little.

LOL you're so funny... The Wii easily outsold the PS3 without any good SW release, imagine how it will beat it when games like MH3, MH2G, FF:CC or Wii Sports Resort will be release this year. Soon the PS3 will return below 10k in Japan and that for almost the entire remaining of the year.

Oh man. I love the "Wii/DS supply issues!" bus that stops by every week the Wii and DS don't perform to fanboy expectations.

It could be supply issues! Or maybe they are clearly stockpiling for Valentine's Day (do they have something like that in Japan?)! Or... it could be that the Wii and DS userbase is getting saturated in Japan.
