Forums - Sales - Ubisoft Sales Numbers

Keep in mind these are shipped.

Far Cry 2: 2.9 million units (Solid showing)

Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party: 1.5 million units

Prince of Persia: 2.2 million units (disappointing)

pleased with the new Shaun White snowboarding game, which sold well "especially" on the Wii

Software sales on Nintendo consoles made up 44 percent of Ubisoft's sales

Tom Clancy's End War. "We did not succeed in creating a franchise in the RTS genre with End War," he said. "It is due to quality issues, with ratings of around 80 percent compared to our expectations of 90 percent."

No Imagine numbers? or the Z series? Would be nice to see numbers from that...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

You forgot to say SWS sold 2.3m copies

So it is clear that End War was a flop, as shown by VGC figures, it will be interesting to see how HAWX does.

I don't think PoP has done that badly, it will end up with probably close to 3m sales eventually, which I don't think is that bad, especially as it the start of a new franchise, though they must be disappointed to not have a mega hit like AC last year, especially with EA having the guaranteed sellers of FIFA and Madden, and Activision Blizzard having WoW and CoD, Ubi must really want a big selling franchise that they can get out more frequently

44% of revenue on Nintendo systems probably works to more than 50% of unit sales... I'm just guessing.

If Shaun White shipped 2.3M, and held at 40% for Wii, then it has shipped 920K for Wii.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

@munkeh111

Really, AC had been hyped forever, and had far far far more advertising

i didn't really like prince of persia. It's just too easy, the moves are mostly the same as the last gen game and they are easy to execute, it's easy to know which move you're supposed to use. I spent most of the time running through the game without stopping at all, it really wasn't very puzzling. Also the battles are just lame, they gotta come up with a better system. I really don't understand why it got such high scores. Sure the graphics are beautiful, but it's too simple and repetitive.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

pop looked interesting but i liked the previous pop style better.
