My guess is : with more and more 360 users deflecting to the PS3 for Christmas (right after they get to play Halo3), and Sony's line up which has more than 5 hit games coming up to this holiday season (Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Warhawk, Haze, Uncharted, Unreal Tournament III) and the games to come in 2008 we all heard about (LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, Killzone 2, FF XIII and FF versus XIII, GT5, GTA4, etc.), all in all this will unquestionably result in a massive boost in PS3 sales.

The part about people deflecting to PS3 is not made up, go to the official Xbox forum and you'll see how frustrated people are becoming with their Xbox and MS attitude.

No pattern but i see lots of bs.

Since day one every one knew its Final Fantasy GranTurismo Gran theft Auto MetalGearSolid that will do the killing sure as shiet not VF5 or NGS.

Motorstor held off a 50k unit drop for about a month, not bad for a new ip.

 


 Too bad those killer apps keep getting pushed further and further back.

This Christmas will be very interesting for all the consoles especcially the PS3 due to exclusives and 1st Christmas in EU(PAL).
Bioshock wont move many if any consoles simplely because its on PC aswell why buy a $399 console when you can buy the game for $60 for your home PC and get the same games as you can on the X360(GeOW,Halo etc).

Probably referring to pre-orders sales and hype momentum. When Gears of War was first shown it left many in awe at the show, so even though it wasnt "out yet" it probably 'sold' alot of people right then and there.

oh and yes, GTA and games like that are basically designed for kids to bug their parents to buy it for them and teens who think it somehow makes them cool.
