Forums - Gaming - Hypothethically, does the Conduit have any chance of outselling KZ2? Ltd.

It's wont outsell killzone 2 (unless it gets offered as a bundle option - which is very unlikely) but it will sell well as I feel The Conduit, Red Stee 2, Madworld and a handful of other titles all have a very important role to play this year as companies like Take Two have announced they need to understand the Wii's userbase as they need to profit on the winning console - it's as simple as that.

Thats why I feel the entire industry is wishing the Conduit to do well and for that reason alone I think it'll win awards, get good reviews, be advertised extremely well, sell well, have a good online community and become a franchise on the Wii.

Not likely as the marketing budget and hype for the Conduit will be much lower than Killzone's.

But Conduit will definitely sell above a million and if it does reach the Brawl/Kart/Zelda audience it could sell above Killzone. So far we haven't seen that happening with mature 3rd party games though.

Its possible. But as said...good reviews and ad's are needed. Sonys should be pumping ads for KZ2 which will give it a great beginning week in sales...but with the install base of the wii combined with me seeing this game with long legs...in the long run the conduit could surpass KZ2.

No it wont. The Wii fanbase is not interested in games of this sort. They will all be on the Wii Resort craze.

I think the point is that it could be a huge hit BECAUSE of Wii Sport Resort. After everyone has gotten Motion Plus, it is only natural that they will then be looking for other programs to use it on and The Conduit is likely to be the best candidate.

Very true, but when does Wii Sports Resort release? If they are too close together and The Conduit is rated M (which it looks like it may) I'm not sure if it'll reach that audience.
