What will VGC give it, do you think?

Hopefully they'll give it to somebody who likes the game (and by likes, I mean thinks the game is zomgwtfpwnage).

Does makingmusic write reviews?

I might be starting.  ;)

i think we would need someone with a little more.... objectivity.. : P

i mean we always complain about how one sided certain reviews are.. remember the purpose of a review..its to tell people if a game is good nor not, lets make believe i havent heard of killzone 2 before.. and i want to be conviced to buy it.. not read a love letter to sony or guerilla

Nobody's objective anymore. By now, everybody either likes the game or hates it.

Don't let Maxwell within a mile of this review, after Chains of Olympus...

aw come one.. i feel stupid for even replying to this ...

if what you say is true... there is no point to write a review at all... but its not ...if you think so  you just talk to the wrong people.. yes this place breeds one minded fanboys like a puddle breeds scum... but not all are like this..  there are alof of people who have lived through several console generations and woh are no longer wowed by all the initial hype ..and who can judge a game objectively by its pros and cons... the way it should be   .,

dont take what you read on this forum as everyones opinon there a just many who make a lot of noise. but were not all like this..

My point is that by now, you either like the game or don't. It's had too much hype for anybody to remain objective.

Oh, and the Maxwell thing was a poor attempt at a joke...

EDIT: My point is that everybody will go into this game with a pre-conceived notion of how good it is going to be. That notion can be wrong. I went into Ninja Gaiden Sigma expecting to love it, after the reviews and demo. I despised it by Level 17.

On the other hand, I was skeptical about Prince of Persia, and ended up loving it.

well im also annyoed but all that hype..but still im looking forward to that game and most people arent "oh my thats going to be so awesome"   or "lol another halo clone this is going to suck"  but rather  "hey a new shooter lets see if its any good"   you are excluding a lot of people who just care about the game and not all the noise its producting when you say that no one is objective anymore

ah well im afraid you wont change your mind ..which is sad.. but you will see in a few years this whole hype thing wont affect you as much as it does now

as for the reviews ive read so far.. its a good game.. but it has its flaws.. just like any other game.. so i dont see why  a person who isnt either a  microsoft or sony drone shouldnt review this game.. when such people obviously still exist

in the end.. thats the kind of people those reviews are for.. you wont change your mind about the game.. nor will the people who think it sucks only because its not for their console.. as for the rest to whom this is simply just another game a fair and balanced review would be desireable

^The majority of people on VGC appear to like this game, so yes, it's good to have somebody who likes it, but not someone who thinks it's the best game ever. Hell, I can think of flaws:

-A little too grey-brown
-No co-op
-Invisible walls
-God awful ISA voice acting.

And many more. Unfortunately, I'm not a Contributor, because they didn't need PS3 reviewers, and to be honest, I'm probably not good enough at reviewing.

Oh, and Zexen, CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING A 1000 POST THREAD!

Okay, I didn't get a chance to play on my PS3 over the week since it was easier to load up TF2 or something on my PC rather than lug a console out into the common area of the apartment.

However, I've now had a chance to check out the Killzone 2 demo again and then I immediately put in Resistance 2 afterwards. I totally believe that this 'input lag' is being blown WAY out of proportion. By merely tapping R1, I felt that it took the same amount of time for the input to register in both Resistance 2 and Killzone 2. The difference between controlling both games is Killzone 2's movement acceleration with the sticks.

It's not ment to play exactly like a Call of Duty game and really, I kind of like the way Killzone 2 controls even if it takes a little bit of time to get used to. Perhaps the acceleration could be tweaked a little bit, but right now it's not anything game breaking. I feel as though people are having some sort of weird bug in the demo, are prone to notice this because it feels different, or just want to light the internet aflame by overreacting.

I tend to agree with you.  I have tested this in the demo and do not notice any lag, and the game has responded to every flick of R3.  It has been reported that some people initially experienced this issue were able to resolve it by downloading it again.  There is a youtube video of a guy that is intended to show the lag based upon the gamasutra lag test.  The problem is the guy did the test incorrectly.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Have you seen the official controller input thread in the us.playstation forums? Oh man, it's like a witch hunt in there.

It's like the Counter-Strike: Source beta and launch all over again, .

back down to 92. 51 reviews now. i dont know the new score but it wasnt below 90. this game has to be like 92.4 to drop a point with a decent score. which means it can get 4 70's and still be 91. it would need 8 more 70's to drop under 90.
