Future Saviors

  1. FFXIII (Japna mostly)

  3. GT5 (the one that actually has a chance)
  4. Yakuza 3 (this march edition)
  5. 299 pricepoint

pretty much every major (or even minor it seems) PS3 exclusive get branded as a "savior" at one time or another. To note, most of those games were commerical flops, or underpreformed, but not all of them. They just all failed to save the PS3.

If LAIR was hyped to be PS3's saviour then Fragile is DEFINETELY very hyped

Hopefully it does ok. The game is too niche though imo. I think it could break 150k lifetime. That would be a success imo. Also I'm importing the game so I will post impressions on it when I play it.

hmm, your memory is poor. Lair was supposed to use the 6 axis controls to show the PS3 has better motion controls than the Wii. People would see the PS3 can do the stuff the Wii can but better, and there would be a run on the PS3 instead of the Wii. That was one theory. Many others just hyped it to be a killer ap that would sell PS3's like crazy.

I know those theorys look delusional... but then again most epicly failed theories do. There has been alot of them. (as I am trying to point out but your are ignoring)

Since you obviously dont want to believe what I am saying you should just go back to gawking at LBP's sales along with a few others.

 



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

ya man, I remember way back at the start of the PS3 people were saying Lair was going to turn the PS3 around because of the 6-axis.
