Lol so true. Hardcores who don't try out new things are not hardcores :P
Wii + DS + PC = PWN :)

LOL! This guy is an idiot! He does not like the same as I do so he must be a snobcore! Hater! Troll!

He's too impulsive, but pretty much agreed about Wii, X360\PS3, FPS games and especially "hardcore" gamers. Even though I am X360-owner and FPS-lover ^_^ well, used to play FPSs, not nowadays.

Hope I did not forget anything.

If he isn't joking here, he's just stupid

example: Halo 3 on PC... when ? 2020 ? and what happens when the port sucks like Halo 2 ?

Okay, scratch Halo 3 (and GoW2 for the time being too) as PC-games.

What else do you disagree with then?

- MS and Sony only care about Sports and FPS.

What the hell has MS and Sony to do with sports games ????? MS doesn't develop or even publish sports games and Sony only has MLB The Show.

And of course ONLY the Wii covers all kinds of genres....

- He says that MS wants to duplicate the Wiimote. Okay and where is it ? That was just a rumor

- He says the 360 costs $400+

- He explains "hardcore gamer" wrong in my opinion (though there were some good aspects)

In the end he's just a FPS hater

very good interview. i thought he talked a bit too much about fps. although that genre is way overplayed while other genres are ignored. i love me some fps but it is sort of sickening just how many there are these days.

and he's totally right about "hardcore gamers." most of the people who say they are hardcore mostly play fps and sports games and talk crap about any new experiences (mostly the wii). and he's also completely right about the wii saving the industry. imagine how many companies would be going out of busy if they weren't able to make up their hd losses on wii games.

and i also totally agree about platformers and shooters. i would love to see development shift away from the heavy focus on fps to bringing back shoot 'em ups and side scrolling platformers along with trying to focus on new ideas like some companies are doing so far mostly on the wii.

end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million,  360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million

Games I've beat recently: Super Mario Galaxy, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Collossus

Proud owner of wii, gamecube, xbox, ps2, dreamcast, n64, snes, genesis, 3DO, nes, atari, intellivision, unisonic tournament 2000, and gameboy

I never would have figured Maddox for a Wii fan. I guess I should have known that VC would win him over, though.

Yeah, already read the interview on Malstrom's website, and I agree completely with this guy.

"Of those, here is the number of games you can't get on PC: 1. That game is Halo 3, and guess what? It's coming out on PC too. There's no reason to own an Xbox 360, period. Xbox Live: who cares? I already have the Internet, and can play with my friends on free servers all I want. Yeah there aren't achievements like on 360 on PC, but so what? I'm not about to pay $400+ just to have achievements in my games."

He sounds really bitter that PC doesn't get much of the limelight these days.

What if we can't afford high end spec computers? What if the majority of our friends own and Xbox 360 and don't do PC gaming and you want to play with them? What if you want every other aspect of what the 360 has to offer, XBLA, Marketplace, Primetime, Netflix, all on one box.

PC is at it's prime today (over 260 millions PC gamers), so I don't know what you're talking about PC not being in the limelight. I think the fact that 9 games in Xbox 360's top10 are on PC proves that too (and the one that's not on PC is a game that sooner or later it will probably come).

good grief. i completely forgot about this website. it was a good read back in the day... i wonder if it's still good.

i agree more or less with everything he touched on - especially the shooter business. i loved the old scrolling shooters that you'd find in arcades and long for the day when capcom releases those awesome games on the consoles.
