hopefully it's like sonic adventure 2: battle.
I know I'll get this but... I'm not really excited.
It doesn't look bad, it just looks like a 3D Sonic with yet another gimmick to make the series feel fresh. Do the gimmicks ever make the series feel fresh? I always find myself playing in spite of what ever new feature the Sonic team has dumped on us. I'm happiest playing the day levels on Unleashed or re-playing the Rush/Advance series. I really hope the 'storybook' series ends with Black Knight simply because I'd rather play a new classic style game - even if it means the title only lasting a few hours initially. I always go back to replay the classic or GBA titles but rarely replay the more modern games. But it doesn’t look bad… guess you can’t please everyone all the time.
Rick,if it is like the day levels of unleashed with the sword added to improve the coolness of the homing attack, will u like it?And I haven't played unleashed yet, does it play like the advance/rush series?I think they actually have a good chance of pulling this one off well because the gimmick(sword) this time really beats the werehog gimmick.

Yeah of course. I'm pretty sure I'll like the game but it won't be anything special that's all. I'd rather believe it was going to be the best Sonic title in years but I really don't think a sword can accomplish that (you never know).
Unleashed plays like a blend of Rush and Sonic Adventure1/2. It's worth getting if you like Sonic, but the werehog levels are too numerous in the Wii version. If you have the choice go for a HD version, I just found the game felt more complete on PS3. But yeah you're right the sword sounds more favorable than the werehog, at least Sonic can still sprint lugging a blade around.
