I will no doubt buy the next CoD, skipped this year, but i just hope they fix the insane amounts of lag CoD4 had. I tried to play the game the other day and after two hours each game was worse then the last for lag, except for one, i was not amused.

CoD 1 is still the best :P

The CoD series is the new Madden. Yearly iterations with outstanding sales. I'd like to see them (IW) branch out a little more because I feel with Activision behind it the series will eventually get stale and played out.

It is like Final Fantasy for the Western Market. Is a more fitting analogy, I think.

But it is true, It is really amazing how good the series is.

There has always been talk of what the "Halo Killer" will be, (and if just 1 game could do it from a quality standpoint- it might be KZ2... but thats another convo) but all olong COD was slowly slipping in, and now it is synonymous with the shooter genre, even moreso than Halo.

You see those numbers. Call of Duty is bigger than Halo.

I'm not sure if I'd agree. Call of Duty is on Wii, PSP, and DS. Not to mention that CoD4 and WaW are both going to pass Halo 3.

 not anymore buddy.... Halo is soooo pre COD4. That game changed it all, COD is much bigger than Halo. People like me, totally get into COD4 and WaW but could never get into Halo (for some reason TS 2 fit my player style much better)

I agree, I cant stand this game.  I never understood why they went back to WWII.  Anyway,  I think sales on the PS3 will slow down a little once KZ2 releases.  Dont know what the 360's schedule is for their FPS games, so it could keep selling well in there.
