for the moment, but history has shown that 3rd parties often sing a different tune during the first of a year in regards to the immediate past holiday sales. Exclusives could become multiplatform or games could be canceled all together. We'll just have to wait until summer to know for sure. I'm not saying it will, but it could. |
Of course anything can happen, but I'm focusing on facts right now. According to last gen, all consoles continuously increased in demand. As we also know, the PS2 was in the lead while continually increasing its lead. Also, both the GC and Xbox were practically neck and neck when it comes to sales. Both the PS2 and Xbox received the same support of games while the Xbox was still far behind the PS3. Fastforward to know. The current PS3 userbase has proven to be a viable source of income regardless of being in third. 3rd parties could abandon the PS3 to concentrate more on the 360 and Wii. But stories like Take Two reporting that PS3 software sales earned them the most revenue and Tomb Raider sold the most on the PS3 are telling 3rd parties that PS3 user are buying their sofware. As long as the PS3 increases in demand, I don't see it probable for thrid parties to abandon the PS3. So you agree with me... thanks.
