I am not certain if they are the same price as that in Walmart stores, but they aren't much more expensive. I just bought one on new egg for the exact same price, no shipping and no tax.
I may be an xbox 360 supporter, however I never blatantly lie about the PS3 and its offerings. I really don't get it. Oh, the Eagles are going to lose this weekend. GO GIANTS!!!

I don't have very much money, and the current playstation pricepoint scares me off, while the 360 pricepoint invites me in. That's what I meant.

If your on a budget and dont want wifi/bluray get a360 arcade/pro- 199/299
You can either buy a console all your friends own so you can share games- makes sense since people spend 2-3x times on software than the hardware
OR
buy a different console, eg. ps3 if you wanna play VC,KZ2,LBP,MGS4, uncharted,GT etc. or 360 if you wanna play Fable,Halo3,GOW2,VC,ME,IU,LO
JRPG fans will find the 360 to be the most tempting. Same for shooters.
The wii Id recommend only if you love nintendo titles. It does have a great library as well, but again it caters to a slightly different audience. you cant go wrong with SMG, zelda,smash bros,metroid etc. I dont fancy motion controls much though.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:
a. a AAA 3D sonic title
b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"
c. redesgined PS controller
d. SEGA back in the console business
e. M$ out of the OS business

The Xbox 360 provides the most extensive library of quality titles in almost every genre of gaming this generation thus far.
It is more than worth the money and I have no doubt you will enjoy it.
