If your on a budget and dont want wifi/bluray get a360 arcade/pro- 199/299
You can either buy a console all your friends own so you can share games- makes sense since people spend 2-3x times on software than the hardware
OR
buy a different console, eg. ps3 if you wanna play VC,KZ2,LBP,MGS4, uncharted,GT etc. or 360 if you wanna play Fable,Halo3,GOW2,VC,ME,IU,LO
JRPG fans will find the 360 to be the most tempting. Same for shooters.
The wii Id recommend only if you love nintendo titles. It does have a great library as well, but again it caters to a slightly different audience. you cant go wrong with SMG, zelda,smash bros,metroid etc. I dont fancy motion controls much though.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

a. a AAA 3D sonic title
b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"
c. redesgined PS controller
d. SEGA back in the console business
e. M$ out of the OS business
