Are there any websites out there they say how much a game cost to make like Box Office Mojo does for movies? Maybe that's something they can add to this website.

Not to many people know how much certain games cost to develope, but I can tell you how much a couple high budget games cost.
Final Fanatasy VII cost around 40 million
Apparently Grand Theft Auto IV cost 100 million
and Shenmue cost 70 million to make
Those are all high budget games so I'd guess the average game would be around 20-30 million today. (Rough guess)
Edit: According to some article I just read the average PS3 game cost 15 million to make so my estimate was a little off.
I wonder if they could at least post on a website each game's break even amount. Sometimes I see these games made that sell pretty awful in my opinion but they still make sequels.
It depends on the game, and it's not something that game makers tend to brag about.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

Which is weird to me, the movie industry has no problem telling how much it cost to make a movie, why so hush hush in the game industry.
Because the film industry has run out if ideas and the only marketable concept they can come up with is budgetary costs.
Oh my god, it must be good if they were stupid enough to spend 200 million on some digital robots. Get it? thats why
But in a general sense everything has become more commodified. Everything's about cost, profits, etc these days. Maybe we should have more info about this.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
the most expensive part of game development is... working hours. your time is valuable

Who's time? not mine
When developers in India and China get on the case, its already happening, costs will drop very fast. Ofcourse they won't tell us that, nor drop the prices.

working hours are the most expensive part of game development. no matter the region, the cost is always the highest in a game budget.
Still, game development has it's costs and a company must look for a gain. The prices don't get lower bur if we compare the prices of games now and then. the costs haven't changed so much compared to consoles
