when the next xbox comes out, if ps3 sells more than the xbox 360(for a year only,I mean ps3 beating xbox 360 total sale), than it's fair(since xbox 360 has a year advantage) but if it takes more than a year than xbox 360 beats the ps3.

Nelson said that Kojima was in attendence and the fact he had a teaser on his site could of pointed to maybe a 360 port being announced. Firstly to make you sound even more insane i own MGS4, why would i care if it was released somewhere else? Speculation has been around for ages and will continue to be around for it. By your messed up logic that means any website/media source/person has to be a 360 fanboy for mentioning it....Hell il have a bet with you right now RPG which i will put in my sig that MGS4 will be announced for another format wether that is 360 or PC this year. As i said in that thread it is all about $$$. When its announced it will make zero difference to me, ive played it and completed it. But im interested in games,game sales, game speculation etc.. that is why im here. That would be one of many of MS's goals within the context of the console industry I would imagine.

First and foremost their goal is to become the dominant player.

It costs 300 GBP. X360 costs 129GBP. No surprise really especially with the recession. It will only grow until Sony can make the price competitive. It just cant compete at this price.

i dont see the ps3 ever passing the 360 this gen, it will come close i think but not pass it. the ps3 does have alot of good to great games coming out this year and so does the 360, the deciding factor will be the price. just like last fall when the 360 dropped in price, unless the price drops to $299 and $349 on their versions of the ps3 and soon i might add, then ps3 will finish 3rd this gen. if the economy stays where its at and doesnt get better soon or gets worse than sony will be in a very tight spot, dont drop the price and get even further behind like over 10 million in sales, or drop the price and lose even more money on the system.

There are no more exclusives to really be lost now. All have either stayed loyal (MGS4) or have jumped onto Multiplat(FFXIII).  Sony is all about the 1st and 2nd party now.

Sony still has a chance to gain 1st place again. It wont happen by the end of 2009, or 2010. Sony needs too....

-Cut PS3 price significantly by each year. 50bucks by march, 50 by chrismas, for the next couple of years.

-Bring back BC! THat was a HUGE selling point,I would know because I am in retail.

-Keep up the good work with topping the other systems in GOOD exclusives every year. Like 2009's linup

It is a long uphill battle but Sony can do it. They have been getting significantly better.

 The PS3's third year is in 2009. It is only after 2009 that we will know how things will truly play out for the PS3 in the long run. This year has to be the year or else that 10 year plan is gone to hell. Either they slim down the gap or it widens. This all depends on how Sony decides to market and the people react during consumer decisions.
