I'm sick of people constantly saying that Sony will cut the price of the PS3 in April and that will solve all their problems.
A few things about that:
- Look at the above graphs. It shows that MS isn't going to take a beating lying down. MS wants to fight for the Others.
- Even with a price cut in April, the PS3 just won't close the gap until nearly a year later in Others. It's just not going to happen.
- So well into 2010, do you really think that MS can't afford another price cut if Sony can afford to drop the price of their console from $600 to $300?
It's like people suddenly think MS doesn't give a crap about gaining a major foothold in the gaming world and also think that MS absolutely will not make a price drop because it wouldn't make sense even though it doesn't make sense for Sony to do a price drop in April.
