I think the trully challenge for the 360 in Japanese territory is have at least A million Seller Game in the of generation, if it continue selling as software as it sell it would take decades. Do you think any of the announced games for the territory have the chance of reaching at least one million on Japan?

In my opinion this could just if 360 have exclusive FF of the main line(maybe a remake), a Monster Hunter, a Dragon Quest or something like that. In other worlds, just impossible for this gen, maybe for the next...

Nope never going to happen and I can say NEVER. MH, FF and DQ are too big to be a 360 exclusive and the PS3 has not come close to getting a million seller in Japan so no, no chance at all.

UNLESS someone knows something I don't..........

It cant. The user base still isn't 1 million, and even though it will reach and pass 1 million sold, a game would need to have one hell of an attach rate an order to sell that much.

x360 is DEAD in Japan, why you at all care about Japan sales for that system? :)

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

LOL, no I don't think it will
max lifetime sales in Japan will be 2 million and thats a stretch.

 Yes, but the PS3 is dead in Japan AND North America.

Now, now. Quite apart from being off topic that isto say the least an overstatement, not to mention inflammatory. Overall PS3 is tracking slightly above 360 sales from launch. That's not dead, not by any means.

And that's from me, who's never even owned a sony console.
