Forums - Sales - Which game will end up with higher Life time total. L4D or Resisitance 2?

Looking at the charts this week, they both past the million mark.

They are neck and neck but it seems like L4D has much much better legs, at least in NA.

L4D: It was in the Top 20 again this week and I think WOM will make this game to have similiar legs like COD4 did last year. In Europe it is steady but not spectacular. This game will no doubt be one of the sleeper of the year.

R2: Thanks to being bundled with the PS3 across EU, this game is selling much better. The problem with this game is in NA where even HALO 3 out sold it this week. Most PS3 shooter fans have decided COD WAW is there game this year and with Killzone 2 just around the corner, I think this game has an up hill battle to climb.

I never expect L4D to be even close to R2 in sales. R2 was the sequel to the best launch PS3 game and has great hype around it. Valve was smart to advertised the hell out of L4D and with their superb track record for FPS it has generated great WOM and X360 owners are eating it up.

My prediction of Life time total is L4D for 360 at 2.5 millions and Resistance 2 at around 2 millions.

L4D will end at rufly 1.75 million copies.

R2 will sell better (partly thanks to bundles and early budget price) and pass 2 million.

L4D sells so much on Steam, always on the top seller spot. I'll buy it off here also.

L4D I think can keep up even if Resistance gets bundled but can't track steam sales.

Another excuse, first off there are no Official BUNDLES of resistance 2 at all anywhere in the world, and where is it budge price, atleast in NA, its full $59.99

I am talking only about the 360 L4D sales, not counting PC and Steam.

Dude, Resistance 2 like LBP has been in a bundled since end of Nov, http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=71442

See there, I killed 2 birds with one stone.

Leo J, you and your possies like Maxx King of the Wild and DMeisterJ need to stop living in denial about R2 and especially LBP.

L4D has the edge, imho...The 360 has ALOT of top self shooters on the market, but there isn't much on the near horizon, while R2 will have to content with Killzone, which many the ps3 fanboy think will save the world , like the cheeleader or something.

Resistance 2. I don't need a good reason, because I know I'll end up right.

OK, if Sony make R2 a permanant pack-in like what they did with motorstorm, yea of course it will inflat the numbers (see Kung Fu Panda). But in NA at least, L4D is destroying R2 even though it has 2 weeks less to sell.

DLC map pack for L4D will no doubt extend the game's legs.

This would suggest that L4D would win, but I doubt it. The first Resistance had great legs, this one should as well.
