I'm not sure Wii will ever reach PS2 market share, it does not need to to be honest it will surely have 60% by the time this generation ends, and will outsell PS2's lifetime sales because it's such a phenomena.
Even if at some stage in lets say 2-3 years sales will start slowing down Nintedo can always: Cut the Price (199$ really did push a lot of PS2's , that could happen to wii as well), add colours, start bundling big software or even try some sort of redesign (very Slim Wii ?) or add a hard drive.

If the DS could do it, why not the Wii? its really obvious unless we're comparing the PS2 here which is different. if Ninty will live the Wii for longer then the wii cqan do what the PS2 can do in term of sales...

I think he meant this is terms of how the Wii market share is actually less that it's currently quoted as, if you include the 35 million PS2s. The flipside being the Wii may very well do the same thing when the next-gen consoles are released i.e. continue selling.
The PS2 ended with some 70% marketshare, right? Its two competitors sold 45 million when added together.
The PS360 will sell at least 110 million added together. That would require the Wii to sell over 256 million copies which, frankly, is impossible.

That's a good point, Leo-J. The PS2 isn't standing still, it's a moving target. The Wii will almost certainly beat the PS2 in LT sales, but it won't get the PS2's insane market share.

LOL he dont have a point, the Wii can make sales same as the PS2 with half the time.

Really man do you have that much hate for the Wii? It saddens me you'll never know the fun times :( how about enjoy games no matter the console? K? Then you won't miss out great games like SSBB, Gears, LBP, L4D (PC), and well every other great game out this gen... =D
Nintendo has made some of the best games this gen, for you to edit things like that makes you sound like a real bitter person... What has Nintendo done to you? Raped your mother? Killed your father? Blackmailed you with threatening posting those nudes online for your friends to see?
