He likes the chances of Xbox 360 in Japan next year.

They've been having a hard time of it since the launch in Japan, but lately it seems to have found its feet and the Xbox is selling a lot better now. Between this year and next year I think we'll see a lot more 360 games shipped in Japan.

I don't think that region should be of any concern to you since you head up America.

Um... except for the fact that it's now selling as well as the PS3 was there not too long ago? No one's saying it'll beat PS3, Wii, DS, or PSP, but that doesn't mean it can't be successful.

Compared to what?

The Xbox 360 sold more in the past 3 weeks than the Xbox did all year in 2004 - the comparible year.  In fact, the X360 stands a good shot over the next 2 weeks to totally destroying the 2002 record for most Xboxs sold in a year.

The X360 certainly isn't doing as well as the Wii, or Playstation 3. But given the deck that was stacked against it (tepid 3rd party support, worst launch in history), it has etched out a pretty viable place in Japan. And Fable 2 outselling Fable 1's LTD twice over in a week is certain proof of that.

360 shd see LTD sales of arnd 2 mil in JPN.. which is pretty good for M$. danggle lots of RPG's, some RE... and you got decent sales.. not a winner but not a whinner either.



Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business
