If Wii sees shortages in January (sells ~ 1.4M), and Ps360 sees a slight growth over 08 January (X360 will at least), they can sell ~ 250K more that month.

Optimistically (for Ps360) the gap could now be 1M in total.

As we cannot expect Wii to outdo 2M/month, Ps360 would have to sell a measly 1M (or less) to not make it by March.

For the end of march (Q1) there's simply no hope (for Ps360).

So it is very likely that Wii will make it in February, but far from certain.

         How can that be? Don't you remember, the consensus was that if the Wii didn't make it to 50% by the end of 08, it never would?  That idea happens to be very similar to the theory, that if  by the end of 09, the Wii doesn't have a library of 3rd party exclusives that completely overshadows both HD systems back catalogue of games, then the Wii will never have quality 3rd party core-oriented games. Is there any doubt that, both beliefs are irrefutable facts? Do you need CrazzyMan to explain the diagrams, to you?

I can understand why the PSP is so high - Dissidia - but why is the Wii getting such a massive boost?

360 and PS3 sales normal.

Doubt that. DQX release date TBA, 2010 at earliest, most probably well in 2011. Way to soon for DQ-fans. Not to mention Wii huge boost was mostly provided by US citizens, where DQ franchise relatively weak.

You should admit, Wii just sells regardless of any situation, breaks almost any previously established rules of gaming market.

actually PS3 japanese sales in december are 30% lower than last year...nothing to be happy about.
