Brawl and World of Goo each had the same Metacritic score. (93) I am surprised they had the balls to give it to a WiiWare game over a retail game. Good for them, it is a great game.
This would be the equivalent to Braid winning 360 game of the year over Gears2. (same metacritic scores as well)
LoL nintendos game of the Year is a wii ware game thats available for the PC. The funny thing is that IGN is right World of Goo Was truly the best game i played all year outta games that i pla thats on the Wii however i didn't play it on the Wii I play it on my Lap top. Im pretty Sure IGN wont put WoG as the best PC game of the Year however.
I gotta give them props for having the cojones to give it to the little guy they thought deserved it rather than the uber hyped game from the giant 1st party producer.

Hard to believe Mario Kart didn't make top 5 on the year. Look at its stats on Nintendo Channel, insane played amounts.
I am happy to see PES 2008 make the list though, another old-style game finding new life with Wiimote.
And Wii Music got SNUBBED! Not a surprise, but it still rages me.
Tales of Symphonia not even nominated for best RPG? Wonder what Soriku has to say about this...

well, if you have a pc or mac made in the last 6 or so years, there is a PC/Mac/linux version as well.
It's good to see a small dev studio take game of the year with a downloadable title. In this case, it had to take some guts to pick the one they thought was best instead of the ones everyone expected to win.
