Brawl and World of Goo each had the same Metacritic score. (93) I am surprised they had the balls to give it to a WiiWare game over a retail game. Good for them, it is a great game.
This would be the equivalent to Braid winning 360 game of the year over Gears2. (same metacritic scores as well)
