With the PS3 7 million behind the 360, going into 2009, I think it´s unlikely it´ll get 2nd place before the next generation starts...but I figure it´ll end this gen really close to the 360.

Wii

Wii is selling at record pace, and has yet to price drop, colors, etc.

Wii 3:1 or 4:1 over the PS3

Xbox 360 1.5:1 or 2:1 over the PS3

2:nd place is still up in the air though. I used to think Sony and PS3 would take it, that it would only be a matter of time before they´d overtake 360 but now I´m not so sure about that anymore. We´ll see I suppose. Next year will be very important as for the race for the runner-up spot.

In terms of machines, I see something ala this.

1. DS - 170-190M

2. Wii - 140-160M

(Ps2 - ~ 140M)

3. PsP - 75-95M

(GBA - ~ 79M)

4. Ps3 - 50-60M

4. X360 - 50-60M

(SNES - 49M)

 You're underballing the Wii and overballing the 360 and PS3, 360 and PS3 will only have pop growth over the GCN/Xbox

Even if the PS3 drops say $100.00 off the price I wouldnt buy another one. I hear all the time wait for blahh blahh game to come out... Wait for a price cut... same old shit every time. PS3 gets a small weeks boost then back down to minimal sales.
