It's always been known it's success would rely on it's Europe performance.

I was originally told Japan would be the important market.

Europe is basically the biggest market for Sony in general though... it's the only console that has more consoles sold in Others then it does the US.

I don't know about anywhere else, but here in the UK, Sony are advertising it a lot, and for once Sony are advertising it well. I have seen 3 different and very funny TV ads and they are on quite frequently. If you look at the legs in Europe, it is definetly paying off.

It'll sell good but it won't be the situation-changing event some hyped it to be.

Considering the amount of high-budget quality games that are flopping these days, at least this one will recoup costs and make some good money...

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

Did it still?

I mean... NPD says VGchartz was over in the US.

The first 5 weeks appear to be at 356K for the US according to NPD

VS our 44,7807.

Would put us a little over 9K over.

Which would mean LBP would be actually a little under a million currently.

LBP looks like an awesome game.. but the ps3 is a sinking ship and you cant expect any breakout hits on a console performing so badly.

Who said it was going to have long legs?

Who said it was going to be a huge success and sell 10 million copies?

Who told you these lies?

A lot of people on this site.

Yeah almost each and every PS3 fanboys were saying it will be huge and overhyped this game. Now I wonder how much it could sell without bundle...

Wii port here we come (j/k)

The game is not a flop. It has not lived up to many member here expectations (it was supposed to be a game changer), but It should be profitable by the end of the year (with marketing cost figured in)

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Its not doing that bad but it certainly isnt selling to the extent many members here claimed (Hoped) it would

Long Live SHIO!

Ignoring Canada and Mexico? (Does NPD track bundles?)
