I have never used this term, nor would I. In fact, I don't think that I have heard any SONY fanboy's say it either. I Have read a lot of Xbot fanboys say otherwise in this thread tho. I think that the OP has a point with the 360 fans spreading the term.

killzone 2 tho plays like a dream and looks shit hot too, I mean, ferkin' amazing! The online is incredible too with very deep customization and classes. Couple all this with a constant 30 frames per second, with the best looking graphics by far on a console so far, and very tight, tactical Ai [which can track u down, or, even kill there own team members just to get to u] and u have a killer of a game indeed.

Sorry, one more thing, for games like Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gears and Halo 3 all to live up to their crazy amounts of hype, they must be stellar games then, yes?

Halo had a great run, but the series was essentially one long corridor crawl, with some GTA-style drive-bys for variety.

It's time for gaming to move on.

The next generation of shooters have to offer something very different - more complex gameplay, better stories, and bodies with momentum and mass. One of the things Resistance 2 got right was the way it makes aiming enjoyable - lock down those headshots, you do fine. Get sloppy with your aim, you pay.

In quality? Could be.

In sales? No way.

God I wish people would get it through they're heads that popularity does NOT equal quality -_-;;; It simply equals mass market appeal >_>;;; Why is it when I say Halo is the definition of generic FPS, people get offended -_-; I didn't say garbage, I just said generic, y'know... how it has to be to still attract 8.5 million people x.X Guys, it's not like I haven't played the game... I mean Generic in the best possible way :P It's a good thing :)

Although I don't totally like Halo, I think there cannot be an Halo-killer, it's a game that perfectly caters for a vast share of XBox fans, unless Bungie does something extremely wrong in next chapters, nothing can touch it. Although preferring deeper games, I thought almost the same about Tomb Raider, I liked it a lot, but I got bored after the 2nd chapter (that I preferred to the first), but millions gamers still like it and I can understand them.
