Forums - Gaming Discussion - What do you want in Assassin's Creed 2?

A combat system that isn't so ridiculously easy to break. After less than an hour into the game, I could just walk around town and kill 30+ guards with no trouble at all. Kinda broke immersion, and made stealth feel unnecessary.

Oh, and of course an ending that doesn't require killing 30+ guards in a row if it's made impossible to accomplish. =P

Oh there is a possibillity in Assassin's Creed. It's called "walking".

1) It has to feature Demond and Altair. The story really got good towards the end, and then they went and cliffhangered.

2) Fix the combat. Please, no more square-mashing. Please.

3) French Revolution sounds odd, considering THIS IS STILL ALTAIR... OR IS IT? Maybe one of his descendants, continuing the search for the pieces of Eden.

4) Altair needs to swim.

5) They need more variety. No more pickpocket, interrogate, eavesdrop, hide, stab (x8), please.

Ubisoft are great developers, but their game quality has been dropping recently: AC, GRAW2, RSV, Double Agent. None of them are bad, but nowhere near their earlier work, like the old Rainbow Six games or Chaos Theory.

I didn't mind the repetitiveness in the first game but something like levelling, or the ability to buy armour and weaponry would be great. And i always wanted archery to be incorporated into it. Not just for fights but as a skill like shooting a rope holding a door to open it or something like that.

Platinums/100% Completion: Super Stardust HD, Linger In Shadows, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Burnout Paradise, Shaun White Snowboarding, Tomb Raider: Underworld, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator: Salvation, Assassin's Creed II, WipEout HD, Ratchet And Clank: A Crack In Time, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, God Of War, God of War II, God of War III, inFamous.

Working on: GTA IV - 87%, Batman: Arkham Asylum - 80%.

One of the best and most innovative games of recent years with some minor flaws.

Too bad that the successor is most likely situated in a more recent epoch. Something exotic like medieval Japan or China would be amazing. But I will take Spain in the time of Columbus or South-East Asia during portuguese times ...

yeaa and the rest of the game ... pfff

Sorry guys, but AC is graphically great... but boring ... always the same think...

So more gameplay for me please !

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

The game to be less repetitive. Some RPG elements like weapons, items, level up system, etc. could help also.

It's official. Great. Maybe a better critical reception than the first one received.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

Also, I haven't played Assassin's Creed, so I don't know; but if there isn't one then they need a sexy Assassiness.

Heavens to Murgatoids.

Being able to see the night at some point would be a nice start. Also not whoring out their producer to promote the game entirely through her looks would also be a nice show of respect to us and indeed to her.

More ninjas, more variety in missions, combat that doesn't lick balls (although the dagger throwing was sweet, more of that). Stealth elements that actually work when in a main mission. I spend at least an hour working my way around the roofs of a castle, not being caught by anyone to get to the main target and as soon as I landed in the building he was found in, ALL the guards suddenly are both aware and within 20 feet of me. If the whole game is build around this pointlessly repetitive wash rinse and repeat "do x amount of stupid tasks so you can use your stealth to er...get spotted no matter where you go and battle about 50 cut and paste guards" thing.

A great premise ruined by UNBELIEVABLY repetitive crap. The unfortunate side effect of people following the sandbox subgenre, it leads to devs padding the games out with find these flags or talk to 30 dudes about the same thing.
