Actually, New Super Mario Bros had some incredibly fun multiplayer modes, nothing I would specifically buy the game for but fun nonetheless. If you've never played the two player versus in that you're missing out on just how much fun trying to jump on another players head can be.

They are bias thats the point.

It could also just be a different reviewer that didn't factor in price. Gamespy gave Shadowrun a 2.0 where one of the gripes was the price. OMG BIASED!!!

They do in fact mention the price in their review for Shadowrun and perhaps that was the game that finally made them start factoring that in. They could have finally got tired of people charging too much for games and this is what they're doing about it. Personally, I'll be happy if they start sticking it to developers for charging too much and might just make me respect 1up a little bit more.

Are you that slow. Warhawk is NOT full price the headset that comes with it you can get for $20 at amazon.

So simple math the PSN game by it self should cost $40

 


The head set is normally at $59.99 so basicly your getting a free game when you buy it, warhawk would likely be $19.99 in the psn or $29.99


 Headset alone costs Price: $21.88
 


To quote the article you refrenced.

So SCEA values the headset at 39.99 making it a 20 dollar game.  Therefore if they charge double for it. 40.  They think the price is too high.  Which, makes a lot of sense when you consider the PSN version is download.

This saves all sorts of money when it comes to packaging and other things as well.  So even if it's 21.88 that's 21.88 PLUS shipping, PLUS boxing matieral, PLUS it's being sold directly to you and not through a store who needs to make money on it too.

So there is more cost assosiated to it then just 21.88 you get from an online store that often sells stuff cheaper then MSRP anyway.

If the only debate is whether Sony is making more money than they should on this title, then both Nintendo and MS have done the same in the past and it wasn't brought up as a major issue.

Does anyone think that Mario Galaxy and Big Brain Academy on the Wii both being priced as full price 50 dollar games makes sense?

Obviously Nintendo has overpriced Big Brain if you start arguing about if what's in the game is worth the price.

The issue is dropping the score of a game that is supposed to be based on the quality of the game because of its price.

This shouldn't be done.

Mario Galaxy makes sense at full priced yeah.

 Big Brain Academy?  No way.  I thought everyone routinly bashes it for it's price.  Didn't think it got good reviews either. 

The quality of the game is influenced by the price.  Is Pacman a great game for 5 dollars?  Yeah, for 30? Not so much, you'll feel ripped off and won't have as much fun as a 5 dollar purchase.

There is more evidence that these sites are biased against the Wii but any (rational) person would say that these are acceptable bias' that reflect personal tastes ...

Websites and magazines that review games like 1up, EGM, and others should review games based on CONTENT like there suppose to not on PRICE. The review on price is done by the consumers.

Amen to that. For one person this game might not be worth 30 bucks for another it might be worth 60, it's up to the consumer to decide not the reviewer.

The reviewer reviews the quality of the game not its price, this is why this whole deducting a point for price is ludicrous.
