to be fair i agree with this article there hasnt been a really good hardcore game since mario galaxy, brawl was pitiful in comparison to the brilliant melee, but why should nintendo change this winning formula afterall there a bsuiness they wont be probably be making losses if they focused to much on hardcore games casual is where the bulk of the money.

No melee was an unbalanced turd of the series IMHO, melee was fun I put over 200 hours into that game if not more, but I played Smash on the N64 and now Wii more cause the mechanics were fixed.

Fixed.

Melee > Brawl x100, IMO.

@Esa-Petteri: Well, that's your problem. For me, Wii was the only option.

Then don't say such things as "For those of us who are older, Wii offers so much more than the HD consoles.". Say "for me". Unless you are such a snobcore that you do that on purpose.

Actually, KichiVerde made a generalization about older gamers first.  Why aren't you going off on him?  Is it because you both share the hobby of trolling on Nintendo?

I did not notice that. But if you think I am trolling, please point out when I have done that? Or how about just report to mods?

And it still doesn't make any Super Smash Bros. game any good. They are all bad, fact.

Fixed back the way the truth of the matter is, Melee added many things but then it killed things like balance and fun, it turned into a crap fest of people exploiting things that were not supposed to be in the game IE wavedashing etc, I mean some characters couldn't even use these exploits and without them you would get destroyed.  Brawl you can basically choose your favorite and no matter what you could get good enough with them to put up a fight, though in Brawl it's more of some characters are better counters to others but even then you can beat them if you have the skills.

Not to mention Brawl has more of everything and will last for years to come.

You know I read this article today, and I must say I felt like I got Rick Rolled.

We're no strangers to hardcore

You know the controls, and so do I

A full campaign's what I'm thinkin' of

You wouldn't get this from any other site

Matt C. kinda looks like a hairier, heavier Rick Astley...

.... Must resist... temptation to flame Rolstoppable....  It's only sarcasism designed to sucker fanboys to respond...  BUT HOW ROL HOW? How can you blamphemize the greatness that is SSB?... Damn it.   Fanboy status confirmed....

Yeah Rol really hates Brawl. He and his boyfriend totally ruined my whole Brawl review thread. It was supposed to be a celebration of life, and they turned it into a troll-off.

Shut up. You wouldn't know art if it crawled up your ass, died and blamed Wii Fit.

I want the Wii Fit trainer in the next version of SSB.

Where do you get these golden zings?

@Gamerace, the trainers should replace the wireframes in the next game.  Or be an assist trophy.

Snobcore gamers complain about casuals.

Hardcore gamers play everything.
