Forums - Nintendo - Which 3rd parties will support Motion+ best?

Am I the only one with a "WTF" bubble over his head (figuratively) after reading that Red Steel 2 is confirmed to use WM+ and is coming out this next spring?

Am I the only person who didn't know this information? How the hell did it slip passed me? Is this game going to be a lot better than the original? Has Ubisoft commented on ANYTHING about this game recently?

Realistically, I expect the Wii MotionPlus to become like the Rumble-Pack and for practically every game to support it even if they don't require it. The third party I expect the most from Wii MotionPlus at the moment is EA ... As much as they've made mistakes, EA seems to be the company who seems to have "gotten" the Wii earlier and better than most third party publishers.

I think motion plus will be huge and many gamedevelopers are going to use it, I agree about EA, it should be perfect for them.

To the person who didn´t think Wii Sports Resort could easily hit 10m, I really disagree, it´ll be a smash hit for sure. Probably 3m in Japan alone.

If it is not required, why do you think people will buy it? I am not talking about those people who visit gaming forums and stuff, but the average consumer.

For one Wii Sports Resort will probably sell an easy 10m.

Casual Wii owners bought a Wii on the promise of games like Wii Sports than make you feel like you're playing the game rather than pressing buttons.  Why wouldn't they want WM+ which could, finally, deliver on that promise?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if at some point in '09 WM+ becomes a standard pack-in with every Wii sold.

And for the more Core Wii players, they'll be all over it.

I don't know, maybe they are happy with the wii as it is. Aren't you happy with your wii?

It would make sense to make WM+ a pack-in item. That way it would definitely get more support.

For that sports resort selling easy 10m, I just don't see that happening. At least it won't be "easy". :)

I love the Wii but I too have been disappointed that we don't have a real SW lightsaber game or a tennis game where you can add spin without pressing B.   WM+ (hopefully, truly) is the realization of what the Wii should be

people would rather press B. turning the wiimote wont make any difference in terms of gameplay.

lol good one.  When they have the 1:1 motion support M+ will offer, they'll rather press a button.  Sure.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Red Steel 2 will use the WM+ but no it won't be out next spring - no comment has been made on the release date.. Only that it won't be rushed

So far three 3rd paty games have been annouced to support Motion+, which will release next spring.

Ubisoft- Red Steel 2

Sega- The Conduit

EA- (untitled tennis game)

When all is said and done who will have the most Motion+ games and who will have the best? I going to go with EA for most. (>'.')>

Sega is not developing The Conduit, High Voltage is, Sega is just publishing it!

And yes there will be allot of support, every developer will want to make sword, baseball, golf, fishing, tennis games… again but with better controls. I want a ping pong game!

I'm not stupid, I know that. But it's faster to put all the publishers' names instead of the development studios.

(>'.')>

EA with its sports games/bloom box. I think nintendo will bring out the best M+ games at least until holiday 2009. i hope dynamic slash uses it.(first party. developed by sandlot of EDF fame but published by nintendo. at least in japan)

and yes wii sports resort will sell a lot motion plus's. should have a high attach rate wth wii oweners.

red steel has the most promise with M+, at least more so than conduit or cursed mountain

Wii Sports Resort + 3 M+ is what I'm going to get when it's released... so will many other people, the better the controls the better Wii parties can you have with your friends, well unless you are one lonely person.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Didn't Peter Moore outright confirm that EVERY EA game - from whenever the WM+ is released - support it?

Let me check...

^If that is true, EA will be the winner hands down.
