Why will ps3 sell better than wii and why will wii lose momentum?

The ps3 will drop to $399.99 in march, they always drop the price in march, if this occurs the sales will rocket to as much they have sold in the holidays. 3rd party will make more exclusives on the ps3 than on 360 etc...
Wii will lose momentum due to lack of thought for any new ideas, console owners may start getting bored of moving there arms every day to play a game.

360 will die just like genesis, and sega saturn, atari you name it, 07 will be the last of the great 360 years for sales.

 

ROFL! Wii will drop off to 28-32 mil? It's gonna sell 16.5-19 mil by year's end and it ONLY sells 8-12 mil consoles. And PS3 MAGICALLY hops 26 mil consoles by 08 year's end? The PSP isn't doing that! ROFLMAO, WHAT line-up will do that? MGS4 and FF XIII? I think not! MGS sells 4.5 mil copies TOPS, and FF won't MAGICALLY sell 10 mil+ consoles. And devs will run out of ideas and owners will lose interest in moving their arms? That is a fanboy excuse I've heard many times. And guess what?: Worst. logic. ever. Learn the facts and come back!

There is literally no defensible logic to the proposition "If I have no new ideas, then nobody has new ideas." It's another outgrowth of people letting their personal likes and dislikes override objective analysis.

I'd rephrase that - by the time the PS3 is cheap enough to attract a mainstream audience, that audience will be unwilling to buy it. Mainstream gamers (and casuals even moreso) tend to buy only one console.

i wouldn't say that...X360 sales last christmas holiday have beeen huge, much higher than during it's first christmas...if GoW wasn't a system seller tell me what is a system seller.

I think the point is that the whole idea of a single "system-seller" is overrated. Whenever a big release comes out, we generally see a big spike in HW sales that dissipates before the month is out, returning to equilibrium. They're temporary events. As far as game libraries go, you need a large catalog of varied and quality games to see permanent boosts.

I wasn't saying that it didn't help sell systems (in fact I would say that it had a big 'system seller' effect) what I was saying is that 'system sellers' sell far fewer systems than people expect.

Games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo 3, and Super Mario Galaxy will sell systems to people because they are highly anticipated, high quality games that will have huge marketing budgets. Many people assume that these games will sell Millions of consoles to people which I think is way too high of an estimate. At best I would say 10% of people who bought a game will buy a system specifically for that game while an additional 10% will buy the system for a combination of released and pending games (including the 'system seller').

Its not a fact that the wii will continue with this huge momentum, but to you its  fact that the wii has the best line up of games coming out,  The psp was released march05 and has already sold 23million WW its been 2years. And again you think that ffxiii and mgs4 are the only games the ps3 has...oh well I guess your as hard headed as ever.

Sokiru why are ur post always anti-sony? Yes we know you like Nintendo( I like there games as well and i like sony and microsoft too) Fanboys these days. I really dont see the PS3 selling 11 million this year but but 7-8 million. by March 08 9.5-10 million
