alright, on to other things. Other than the OP, whose decision to purchase a 360 wasn't decided upon because of the PS3's slow sales, but, watch closely now, because of how the developer community will respond to the LEADING hardcore console. In other words, lead console gets the overall better games because of sales rates divided among user base. Which would be the 360. That's why he's going to purchase it. I mean, seriously, how do guys miss that. Anyway, other than the OP, i've never seen a larger collection of droopy boobs outside of a geriatric nudist camp. You PS3 guys take the cake. (oh, speaking of cake, you can buy Portal on Live Arcade. Nice)

I think the point the OP was making is if MS pulls ahead significantly then there is a good chance future games will be affected in some way or another in favor of the 360. It happened to the N64 and xBox, it can happen to the PS3. Granted the circumstances are different but the end result is usually the same. I don't believe this will happen to the PS3 as I think it'll end up like SNES/Genesis era where one system edged out the other, both having great games.

hatmoza 2.0, you should also consider the game cost which was the deciding factor for me. There are so many bargain games for the 360 right now and if anyone here is near Toronto Canada then check out Game Center on Yonge... they have so many good deals on used games (older releases 10-15, newer releases 35-44). That did it for me.

I think you need to purchase a Wii, not a 360. It's selling even more software then the 360.

LBP and R2 will have long leg´s for Christmas, so... don´t be surprised that sales at PS3 will maintain stable and growing just a little and X360 will drop a lot after the overselling (great campaign and great selling rate) of GOW2. Congrat´s this turn for GOW2 Lauch be so good! :)

I agree with the OP, console wars do matter!

I've promised myself that if the X360 doesn't reach 50 million in world-wide lifetime sales I'm gonna sell my X360 and buy a PS3.
