Bad points: Everywhere else. (esp Birmingham, wierdos like Highwaystar live there)

On a serious note, it's average, just like most places. We do have the BBC though, who, with the exception of eastenders, still make some of the best TV in the world.

-If you are in the South East where I live, it is served by excellent trains (South West Trains), excellent public schooling, excellent private schooling, and very large houses!  State education anywhere except London sucks. The average school has less than half getting 5 A*-C grade GCSEs including Maths and English. And a C in those subjects is worthless - you don't have to be able to write very well to get a C in English, for example. It's still better than the US though.

 

 

 

I'll agree the broadband speed is horrible, our speed is like 1mb! And I'm glad I live in Surrey, as there is a really good secondary school and college nearby, and the trains are for the most part very good. But yes, I'll agree that Britain is a country of contrasts!

Oh yeah, we have some pretty interesting places to go to, like functioning canals, standing castles (as opposed to ruins although there are plenty of them), museums, LOTS of green countryside, etc.

I have been in Peterborough and London (1 month each), i liked both, maybe i wouldn't like to live there (mainly because of the weather), but i love UK. I want to visit it again.

Far west on the border with Hampshire, near Guildford. And I recently went to Birmingham for a Headstart course thing, and although it is very concretey it's nowhere near as bad as people made out, plus I got a free tour of the Jaguar factory which is always good
