Oops, I realize now I misread it. But what's the current market share?

After Iron Man did 500k, I had this pegged to do 1m.

It's a fantastic movie, afterall.

no ,145% percent increase meaning it did almost a double and another half for that week.

.... 145% increase? then 21% increase of 100 is 21 ending up with 121. A 145% increase of 10 is 14.5 ending with 24.5... my point is still valid.

Wow... just wow... thats huge :O Blu-ray will have a great holiday IMO :D

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

a 145% increase of 10 is 24.5...no it's not valid at all.

The point is when you have such big difference in the numbers like 10 vs 100 or in this Blu-ray vs DVD senerio 119 to 11 the number with a smaller figure will have the easier time influencing %'s

Let me give you an example. If both increased by 5% then 100 increases by 5 and 10 increases by .5... see why looking at %'s is silly now?

but we are only using the top 20 titles. Obviously DVD has much better sales throughout the top 20 while blu-ray sales are just heavy on the top few. These numbers more or less prove that and that point doesn't change.

When will companies start releasing movies on blu-ray before DVD?
