First of all I rememer when most of you believed Killzone 2, which all the sudden is the greatest thing since slice bread, was moved to February because it would have gotten overshadowed by Resistance 2.

But frankly 400k to 500k is really not that huge, its just good.

Resistance was heavily bundled in Europe. That explains why it sold most here and why it had such legs. So Kung Fu Panda has nice legs on the 360?

R2 will be as frontloaded as every other shooter. It won't match MGS4, because MGS4 is popular in Japan. Resistance not so much. 500k in the US is decent though. It did not bomb. It sold as much as Fallout3 on the Xbox360.

But I wouldn't have thought that LBP and R2 combined might have problems to sell as much as Gears of War2 first 2weeks till the end of the year.

The success of the Xbox360 software is just outstanding so far (Fable and GoW²)

so 500k is a bomb, and europe is it's strongest region so it should easily break a mil

Which is what I have been saying to shanbcn who thinks its "bombed".

& BTW most of us didn't believe Killzone 2 was the best thing since sliced bread cus frankly I think sliced breads crap.

but we did believe Resistance 2 would overshadow it due to the "franchise" strength of resistance being more than it.

If final numbers are close or over 500k then its good but chances are low.

& the FINAL nail in the coffin for Shan BCN's argument:

NA first Week
- Gears 1: 606,759
- Resistance 1: 42,483

R1 sold 1/14 of Gears1

World first week
- Gears 1: 910,931
- Resistance1: 242,258

R1 sold 1/4 of Gears 1

Explain to me how Resistance 2 would have overshadowed Killzone 2 with 400k sales on its first week unless you were expecting more which all of us did. I am very disapointed so far with the sales numbers of PS3 games in NA. I expected more, but it seems its all the same even with more users.

The final number 1st week will or should be 1 million, this game didnt bomb at all.

honestly its even possible that when R2 release in OTHERS, the game would have already reached 1 M in NA alone, that would mean 2 M by december would be attainable.

Gears didn't outsell R1 1/4 LTD.
