My opinion is it will probably eventually be ported by EA, but Valve isn't gonna do it. Anyway, comments on this? Is this a repost?

It has been confirmed to us today that Left4Dead will not be coming to PS3 despite rumours. Speaking to us at a Microsoft event, Chet Faliszek of Valve said when asked "Many people say that they heard rumours that Left4Dead is coming to PS3, however despite telling them this isn’t true they still don’t believe us, what more can we say than it is not". So there you go, Left4Dead is exclusive to Xbox 360, which is a shame for PS3 fans because having went hands on with the game this weekend, we can tell you that it is really quite stunning. Check back later next week when we will be publishing our hands on reports of games such as the excellent Left4Dead and the quite simply breathtaking Resident Evil 5, as well as quite a few others.

The question is "is L4D 2 coming to the ps3?"

Valve hates the PS3 confirmed.

I doubt there will be a left3dead 2 for a while. They are just about ready to release Episode 3 and then, hopefully, Half-Life 3 next. Can't wait and maybe those will go on the PS3. Also the PC version is better than the 360 from what I've seen on our 360, the controls are far more annoying.

now, now. If you think about it, porting over a game that's what, over a year old and probably played to death on the 360 is not as financially sound as it seems especially in an age where "how much will this make me?" is the question being asked instead of "Is this a good game?"

For Valve to "hate" the ps3, they would have to insist that L4D 2 is a 360 exclusive as well when unlike in part one they did not have the "Well the ps3 wasn't around then" excuse.

We'll just have to wait and see.

its a great game but still sony fans u should be happy with resistance 2 ... today i get it and play it and man what a wonderful game .. for me its the best exclusive game for the ps3 this year.

1. Half life episode x = Half Life 3.

2. Even the 360 will be lucky to get HL2 Episode 3. This is a no compromise franchise, if they feel they have to make a cut for a console, they will cut the console instead.

So the chances of getting HL 2 Episode 3:

PC: 100%

360: 60%

PS3: 20%

The chances of getting HL 3(4):

PC: 100%

360: 45%

PS3: 15%

Hasn't this been discussed too many times already???

there's sveral things to consider here.

1. They are in a Microsoft event.

2. 2k also said the same thing about Bioshock to make sure no hype was taken away from the initial hype of Bioshock for 360/pc

3. It's Valve, we all know they do not like working on anything other than the PC, with PS3 being the last on the list.

4. There's a chance that if the demand is there, EA will make a port which will probably sell very less, just all the other 6+ month old ports.

5. Because EA will know that a PS3 port will sell badly, they will probably put very little resources on it to try and squeeze out profit, resulting in a downgraded/gimped version of a game that everyone will complain about.

Which brings me to my point.

If you want to play L4D and only have a PS3, do NOT wait for a port and just get a PC or 360. Heck, I'm getting it for the PC.
