there's sveral things to consider here.
1. They are in a Microsoft event.
2. 2k also said the same thing about Bioshock to make sure no hype was taken away from the initial hype of Bioshock for 360/pc
3. It's Valve, we all know they do not like working on anything other than the PC, with PS3 being the last on the list.
4. There's a chance that if the demand is there, EA will make a port which will probably sell very less, just all the other 6+ month old ports.
5. Because EA will know that a PS3 port will sell badly, they will probably put very little resources on it to try and squeeze out profit, resulting in a downgraded/gimped version of a game that everyone will complain about.
Which brings me to my point.
If you want to play L4D and only have a PS3, do NOT wait for a port and just get a PC or 360. Heck, I'm getting it for the PC.
