It is not like sony is losing "the race" selling millions of units. That is way more then enough to let their games sell. People honestly talk about how bad sony or MS is going to lose. In reality no one is going to lose on this generation with the selling of millions of systems.

Fan boys have to get to reality with the battling of games and not systems. IE GOW2 VS R3, HALO VS KZ2. So on and so on. This is not an over saturated market for example when dreamcast came out. It had to compete with Sony, Microsoft's xbox, the cube. The generation now has changed the playing field.

This generation has nintendo who struck gold selling to the casual gamers. Putting nintendo in a whole new bracket of video game entertainment. Sony and Microsoft staying to the roots of "hardcore" gamers. With these two going at it and selling high number of systems no one will lose.

 

 I disagree. Both Sony and Microsoft is losing on this generation. Sony has no shot at going even, and I have severe doubts that Microsoft will. Sure, they're selling millions of systems, but that isn't what matters most to them. That is cold, hard cash.

RROD is not a thing of the past, or else that shop in texas would have closed its door last year. but its still big buisness for them.

 

RROD is not competly gone,its nearly gone,very little 360 still RROD,but of course some are still going to RROD from the launch consoles.

 

 

actually I have 2 friends that got new 360s around GTA4 time and both got RRODs, one had an elite, they can't fix it because of the narrow design and how crammed everything in the 360 is, this will be my last post over the RROD because i dont want to get banned over this again. but it is still alive and the only reason the % is at 15 or whatever is because there are now more consoles on the market to decrease that %.

Wow, So Sony delibarately makes losses ever since the launch of the PS3?

Delusional fanboys do try everyday to convince themselves and others that PS3 is just fine, and they have bought a wonderful thing.

Sony havent tried? Well several key franchises have appeared on Sony Console and they did not alter the situation, New Ip's had little impact (Uncharted did well but others like Lair, Haze etc. failed) and the price is still ridicilously high.

And a Threat? To Microsoft maybe, but they will get to their targets from pre launch, Sony wont be near it. And PS3 is not a Threat to the Wii and it never will be.

 Are you stupid? 4/5 and 8000000/10000000 is still eighty percent so the only reason the failure percent is lower is because they are getting more reliable



N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Im not going to say that your lieing and im not going to say that i believe you because i do not know you or your friends,the fact is 360 produce less heat than Launch Console's,but some still RROD mainly from the player being irresponsible with there console.

Holly Cow:  This Thread = Epic Fail

A Fanboy talking about Fanboys for starters.

Trust me when I type, Sony badly wants to lower it's PS3 but just can't do it and they stated that, do to Share Holders and the fact that they need to make up for Billion(s) :plural: they lost in the making of the PS3.

 

The Wii is the Only company swaying by with no worries, with no price cuts in the near future or past.


The OP made it sound like PS3 didn't have a price cut ever, and not even mentioning the canceled gig units and not making up it's mind on what system gig size to settle on.

Need we forget stripping down systems to try to sell for less, like BC.

And Blu-Ray is not mainstream, it's not nearly doing in sales what Sony expected. Sony is struggling to try and get it Mainstream before something better comes along, and Streaming Video are grwoing and growing, and HD sizes are grwoing and growing, get the connection.

 

Sony is not sitting back at all. To think that is naive, to agree with it is moronic.

 

Last Quarter:

Sony = Down

MS = Up

Nin = Laughing it's @$$ off
