For me, articles like this is what is killing gaming for me.

IGN prefers flawed realistic graphics to smooth cartoony graphics.

IGN thinks online gaming is MUCH better than splitscreen multiplayer. According to IGN, it's even no contest.

I can't express how much I disagree with both these beliefs. I'd hate to spend my gaming time playing semi-realistic games with twitchy framerates and no real multiplayer but appearantly, that's the direction the gaming industry needs to go.

online i'ts better.

you can play with anyone even if they are not nearby.

even if you are alone at home there is always someone to play.

having both it's more optimal still.

I'd take splitscreen over online any day. Brawl, Halo, LBP, Mario Kart... all are better with friends on the same couch.

Guess the rewiever is to fat to be able to appreciate the BB

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

In your opinion, but no in everyone's. I also like local multiplayer better. I have more fun when someone is next to me. Im not saying that online it's bad, but not everybody prefers online than local multiplayer. Some people just dont get that everyone is different.

I just don't think online is really multiplayer. To me, it feels like singleplayer with better AI (technically, AI is replaced with human intelligence). You're still playing on your own as opposed to the social aspect of physical multiplayer.

I wouldn't go that far.  As long as you can talk to the other players (or chat) then there's some level of interaction that AI can't provide.  But still,  I'd rather crush my buddies, rub it in their faces and have a beer with them (or play versus my girlfriend/kids) rather than some complete stranger.

^ online play and local play aren't mutually exclusive.

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

I prefer a classic controller than the wii balance board.

i think the IGN article is very stupid, it's obvious that the Wii is more suitable for this kind of games, Ps3/Xbox360 is mostly for shooters and action games....

i would never buy such a game for Ps3, and also, online is this kind of game may be good but local multiplayer fits more to sports games!

They shouldn't be, but in this case they are. Since you have to pick, I pick local multiplayer.
