Yeah, I know that

I meant that the shipment apparently was slightly lower than 200k units. The same happened when they launched the DS Lite: They promised a big shipment but only shipped 100k units. Actual DS Lite first week sales are 98k units, the 120k units VGChartz has for the week include DS phat numbers. Media Create separated DS Phat and DS Lite at this point, though. 

Basically, it looks like the DSi was sold out at most places in Japan. Nintendo regularly ships less units than promised (at least in Japan) partly to increase demand.

Wow, that's better than how the latest PSP model sold. It's a pity they are ditching GBA backwards compatibilty with the new DS.

Well I just finally got around to checking out some stores today in my city and the DSi is SOLD OUT! If Nintendo can supply the units, then sales should stay strong!
