Forums - Gaming - MrBubbles takes on Mirrors Edge 360 Vs Mirrors Edge PS3 (Advantage Ps3)

I have to say, who cares about these little graphical things, the game looks very nice, has a very good art style and plays well! What more do you want? So there may be a few screen tearing issues on the PS3, I can certainly live with that

This thread is nearly as good as "MrBubbles reviews Kingdom Hearts II".

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Like I said, the screen you're playing on and how it is setup can have a great effect, MrBubbles probably doesn't have his set up correctly.

MrBubbles conducted a side by side comparison of the 2 demos and has decided to share his findings.

MrBubbles determined that both versions were equal in a number of ways. Both versions loaded the same, both ran the same, and both were texturally equal.

However the enhancements on the PS3 version were glaringly obvious. It contained not only enhanced screen tearing, but enhanced jagginess as well. It only barely edged out in the jagginess department (it was far closer than what i noticed in the Bioshock vs Bioshock). But it completely blew its opponent out of the water with its screen tearing. The difference was severe, to say the least.

MrBubbles doesnt personally like the game ...but if you you are interested in this game and own both systems.... If these enhancements dont appeal to you, you would do well to pick up the Xbox360 version of the game.

Eh, I didn't notice screen tearing at all.

Exclusive DLC > Mr. Bubbles thinks there is screen tearing

Uhm that rumor was busted by EA some time ago....

I'll give a more professional opinion on it later tonight. I doubt many people on the forums (pretty much anyone who isn't a PC gamer) are qualified to actually tell the difference between two such similar games. I'm often saddened by the complete lack of tech knowledge here. Some people even think Far Cry 2 runs well on their consoles.

Far Cry 2 runs very well on the 360. I made a comparison with my brother (who has the PC version). Everything on maximum and besides better AA they were pretty even.

I've played through the PS3 demo like three or four (maybe even five) times now. I noticed no screen tearing at all, and it's usually something I'm very sensitive too (it's probably my most hated technical issue).

Hyams thinks MrBubbles is speaking out his arse.

I just played through the ps3 version again looking for said screen tearing and didn't notice any. I did notice some jaggies but I had to look for them.

I'll say this though, I'm not the best person to turn to in the case of graphics and noticing things like this but I was really looking and didn't find any cases of it.

This Excatly,. Who give a flying F%%k if one version is superior/inferior by the tinest amount. "OMG PS3 Version has slightly more screen Tearing, PS3 is teh suckerz. OMG PS3 version has more clouds, 360 is teh suckerz". I mean WTF. To even point out is just rediculous
