I've had my DS for about a year and a half and I absolutely love the games I've owned and played on it.  Stepping away from the software for a bit, I've become unhappy with my DS on the hardware side.  I'm not referring to specs but rather I'm talking about its responsiveness.  I've probably dropped my DS Lite more than its fair share but the same can be said for GBA SP.  Point is, The R and L buttons on my DS have become heavily delayed.  So much so that I often have to hold it for 5 to 8 seconds before an action is performed.  This is hindering my ability to play and finish games, namely Kirby Super Star Ultra, in a timely fashion.  Going back to my GBA, I've dropped it quite a few times but it still works as well the day I bought it, barring battery life.  Is the DS in general just made of less of the ever-rare Nintendium or am I to blame?  Who knows.

Now for the glossy white box called the Wii.  Right now, I can't get enough of the thing.  This morning(Eastern Time), I finished No More Heroes and I couldn't be happier.  The game was excellent, brilliant, stupendous, and a downright masterpiece.  In accordance to what my signature says, I've been playing de Blob as of late and I have to say that it's a game that was made for me.  It's very Artsy and very much a stellar platformer.  I was afraid that this genre would be more niche in favor of FPS's and JRPG's; but, this game has renewed my faith in its future.  Also I can genuinely say that I've liked de Blob more than most platformers EVER.  If I could have my say, Blob would be up there with Mario and that one Ren wannabe with the talking Lunchbox.  Along with the other games in my signature, de Blob is giving my Wii alot of playtime and I couldn't be happier.  Not even a fanboyish Wii Music thread can bring down for my view of the Wii.

Can't comment on the DS, but I'm glad to see a positive thread about the Wii's game lineup. I swear, some people absolutely refuse to acknowledge that a game (or a whole lineup of games) even exists if it's not hyped to hell and back.

I actually look forward to Deadly Creatures, Mushroom Men and Skate it among others.

*sigh* get chrono trigger ds.

You'll definitely be wanting to get your DS repaired. I'm not sure how you've kept it so long in its current state: that would have driven me mad.

Or you could wait for the DSi...

The op doesn't mention square enix nor chrono trigger so my posts qualifies as giving suggestions for future games purchase regarding the ds which even thought involves the software side it can still help you do feel happy about the ds. On the hardware side you should also consider getting a new ds lite or wait for the dsi if you want no delay on the R and L buttons and this time try to be more careful on not dropping it.

Why should I worry about dropping my DS?  I've dropped my GBA SP several times and, like I said, it works just as well as the first day.  Also Isn't the DS the "kiddy" handheld and therefore be sturdy for abuse.

Yes de Blob is an awesome game. It's just sad people have to have a random game every now and then reinstate their faith into the Wii. I just don't see how people need that because I have never been once dissatisfied with my Wii. I just think people like to complain and seek attention but hey whatever.

As for DS... stop dropping the fucking thing. And that's all.
